Childish scribble on the front endpaper and the blank back of two of the plates, light foxing on several of the plates, some browning and creasing on the front edge of the book and the last four plates and the back cover creased across the corner. The plates numbered in ink in the corner. In the original printed paper wrappers with a red cloth spine, the wrappers worn and darkened, with a tear approximately 5 cm long in the front wrapper, a piece missing at the top and the bottom of the cloth spine, each approximately 4 cm long and the cloth split on the hinges for part of its length.
