One engraved map; the map rather foxed with some offsetting of the foxing on the first page of text. Generally a clean copy; two pages rather gray without the legibility of the text being affected, a few light creases, two pages with light foxing and a few marks in the blank margins. In the original binding (paper covered boards with a green cloth spine and a printed paper label giving the title etc.), the boards a little rubbed, the paper label darkened with a corner missing and the spine split for aprox. 9cm along the rear hinge and then across the width of the spine.
The later part of the title refers to
‘…The Destruction of the Democratical Republics of Schwitz, Uri and Unterwalden.’ This contemporary account of the Napoleonic invasion of Switzerland is translated from the French by J.B. Briatte.
