FIRST EDITION. 2 volumes. Small 8vo. (15.5 x 10 cm) viii + 422 pages and (iv) + 444 pages respectively. Light foxing to the first few leaves, and last few leaves, of each volume. Bound in the original binding (green cloth spines with paper covered boards, original paper labels on the spines with the title etc.). The boards somewhat darkened, the corners worn and a small piece of the paper covering the boards missing from the back of one volume and a small white mark on the spine. Minor wear to the top and bottom of the spines, the cloth split on the rear hinge of volume two for approximately 3cm and the endpaper split along the front hinge of volume one, leaving the board rather loose.
