4to. 27x21 cm, xlix+484 pages with three full page engravings. Some browning and a little spotting to the pages, never obscuring the text. The three plates rather foxed, which has transferred itself to the facing pages, including the title page, the pages concerned still being readable. A rubber stamp applied to the top of the front end paper, and a couple of words written in ink at the bottom.

Bound in dark cloth, later than the book, with the title in gilt on the spine. The binding in good condition.
