  Generally a clean copy, but some creasing and marking to the title page and preliminary leaves, considerable pencil underlining in the introduction and some pencil underlining in the second work (the translation).  The top edge of the book a little dusty and a few leaves with a crease across the corner.
  In the original binding with a brown leather spine and black cloth covering the boards.  The binding professionally restored, with new endpapers (a previous owner’s name written on the front endpaper), the spine renewed with the worn and rubbed original spine laid down.  The corners of the boards somewhat worn and the surface of the leather rubbed on the hinges
